Dallas has dropped back-to-back games, including a 37-36 setback to the Green Bay Pacers as four-point home favorites last Sunday, while going OVER the betting total for a fifth consecutive contest.  “We still control what we feel like we can get done,” commented Cowboys signal-caller Tony Romo.  He’ll likely target wide receiver Dez Bryant throughout the day, as he set season highs with 11 catches and 153 yards last time out.  Romo will also have the luxury of tight end Jason Witten as a safety valve. as he has caught 97 passes for 1,087 yards and six touchdowns in 21 career games versus the Redskins.  Dallas is 8-18-1 ATS as a favorite the last two-plus seasons.

The Cowboys are difficult to back when laying points due to allowing a league-worst 427.3 yards per game, which is important to consider when looking over the NFL betting lines.  Dallas picked up a 31-16 victory as 5.5-point home favorites in the first meeting this season—despite being out-gained by a sizable 433-213 yard margin.

Washington has ended up on the losing end of its last six contests, including a 27-26 setback to the Atlanta Falcons as 5.5-point road underdogs in Week 15, while going OVER the betting total for a second consecutive affair.  The Redskins are going into game No. 2 of a three-game stretch with quarterback Kirk Cousins taking over for Robert Griffin III, which can’t be ignored when making your NFL betting picks.  He has never appeared in more than two games in a row in his career.  Washington is 14-19 ATS as an underdog since the start of the 2011 campaign.

The Redskins have the opportunity to be extremely balanced on the offensive end, as running back Alfred Morris has 73 rushers for a career-high 394 yards and five touchdowns against the Cowboys.  Washington should be able to exploit Dallas’ deplorable defense, considering its rival is expected to be without its top four linebackers this week.

Sports bettors will likely back the Redskins due to the underdog being 23-8 ATS in the last 31 meetings in this series.
