Packers Steelers Super Bowl XLV Picks
The Green Bay Packers have won back-to-back preseason games

Kansas City is 1-2 SU and 0-2-1 ATS in the 2014 preseason, as it looks to bounce back from a 30-12 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings as three-point home favorites last week, while going UNDER the betting total for the first time.  The Chiefs expect young quarterbacks Tyler Bray and Aaron Murray to take all of the snaps, as starter Alex Smith won’t play and his backup Chase Daniel is expected to exit after the first quarter.

Chiefs second year head coach Andy Reid has already stated that most starters won’t see any action at Lambeau Field, which is important to consider when making your NFL betting picks.  This will be the 16th exhibition meetings between these two franchises, with the series tied at 7-7-1.

Green Bay has won and covered the number in each of its last two games, including a 31-21 victory over the Oakland Raiders last time out, while it has won the statistical battle in all three of its contests leading into the regular season.  Most of the Packers front office will keep a watchful eye on Corey Linsley in this matchup, as the rookie fifth-round pick will make his first starter at center in what will be his one and only tune up before the regular season opener a week later at Seattle.  It’s important to point out that starting signal-caller Aaron Rodgers won’t see any action Thursday night, but he’ll likely discuss things with Linsley on the sidelines throughout.

The Packers most important job to iron out heading into the 2014 campaign is Rodgers’ backup, as Matt Flynn and Scott Tolzien are both capable of filling that role, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NFL betting lines.  Last week, Green Bay lost a pair of starters, with the most important departure being defensive tackle B.J. Raji lost for the season.

Sports bettors will likely back the Packers due to the Chiefs being 7-33 ATS in preseason play heading into this year.
