The New York Giants are 2-0 SU in the 2014 NFL preseason

New York has won both of its games during the 2014 preseason, including a 20-16 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers as 2.5-point home favorites last week, while going UNDER the betting total in each affair.  The Giants have installed the last pieces of their new system under offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, which is important to consider when making your NFL predictions, considering that Curtis Painter has moved into the No. 2 spot on the quarterback depth chart behind Eli Manning.

The Giants first-team offense has scored a touchdown in each of the first two games, which can’t be ignored when looking over the pro football odds page, but both of those scores have come on the ground.  New York head coach Tom Coughlin is looking to get more production out of his defensive line, as Pittsburgh ran the ball well against the unit last time out.

Indianapolis was handed a 13-10 defeat by the New York Jets as 3.5-point road underdogs in its opener, while going well UNDER the betting total of 37.  The Colts have some major question marks up and down the roster, but safety LaRon Landry and cornerback Vontae Davis are both expected to play after missing all of minicamp and almost the first two weeks of training with groin injuries.  Offensively, the team will have undrafted rookie Jonotthan Harrison under center for an injured Khaled Holmes, who had two bad snaps against the Jets.

With the Colts starters expected to play an entire quarter, Indianapolis’ first unit will want to put some points on the board, considering it scored just 70 first quarter points in 2013—28 points fewer than any other quarter.  The squad will also be tested on third down in this affair, as New York has held opponents to just a 22.2 percent conversion rate in its first two exhibition contests.

Sports bettors will likely back the Giants due to their 4-1 ATS mark in their last five preseason road games versus AFC opponents.
