Tomorrow night it comes down for 40 minutes of concentrated play that will determine whether the Florida Gators will repeat as champs or if Ohio State will be the new college basketball kings of the court. So– what will determine the outcome? Here are a few things to consider.
Turnovers– this has been a major problem for the Gators and Ohio State will certainly be aware of it. Sloppy play could be the undoing of the Gators.

Fouls– both teams have done well in keeping fouls down. This will be important for the Gators for two reasons. First, the Buckeyes are a solid foul shooting team and very dangerous. Also, the Gator’s bench is sound but not deep, so if some of the big men get into trouble, Florida coukld get into trouble.

Three-point Shots– Florida is very dangerous from outside and can rack up points quickly. If they miss, they can bang the boards and then make the inside play.

Rebounds– Both teams have impressive rebounders but Florida has then edge in experience. Freshman center Oden, for Ohio State, is an excellent player but his inexperience can be exploited by the more mature Florida frontcourt.

Blocks– Florida possesses solid shot blockers who can intimidate shooters and throw opponent’s off their rhythm.

Bench– There’s more balance on the Buckeye bench and certainly more depth. Especially when it comes to pla in the frontcourt, so if Oden does get into trouble, there are guys who can come in and help out.

Finally, there’s experience and maturity. Florida has the decided edge when it comes to having been there. They have proven that they kow how to win the big game.
