Iowa Sate is one of just five unbeaten teams remaining in the nation, as its 14-game winning streak is the longest in school history.  The Cyclones rank first nationally in assist-to-turnover ration, while having three players averaging at least 15 points per game, which can’t be ignored when making your college basketball predictions.  Senior forward Melvin Ejim is the main player to watch, as he’s scoring 17.8 points and grabbing 7.2 rebounds per game.  Iowa State is 13-6 SU and 14-5 ATS in January the last two-plus seasons.

The Cyclones have won 16 of 17 games when scoring 90-plus points under head coach Fred Hoiberg, while they’ve shot better than opponents in 12 of 14 games during the 2013-14 campaign.  Iowa State is averaging 17.5 made free throws per game, while its opponents are attempting just 15.8, which is important to consider when looking over the NCAA basketball lines Saturday.  The program is 4-2 in this series under Hoiberg’s direction, including wins in two of three meetings a season ago.

Oklahoma has alternated wins and losses over its last four games, as it attempts to bounce back from a 90-83 defeat to the Kansas Jayhawks as six-point home underdogs, while going OVER the betting total for the fifth time in six affairs.  The Sooners have all five probable starters averaging double figures, with the group providing over 78 percent of the team’s scoring.  Senior forward Cameron Clark is averaging 18.7 points in 28.6 minutes of action per game.  Oklahoma is 1-1 SUATS as a home underdog of three or fewer points the last two-plus seasons.

The Sooners have won 22 of their last 26 games against the Cyclones at the Lloyd Noble Center, including eight of the last nine.  Oklahoma is the only Big 12 Conference program to start the same lineup in every game this season, as that group continues to get better on the glass.  The team was out-rebounded by an average of 0.7 boards per contest in its first eight games, but has won that category by 6.3 since.

Sports bettors will likely back the Sooners due to their 5-2 ATS mark following a SU loss in their last seven opportunities.
