The Michigan Wolverines have dominated opponents at the Crisler Center during the 2012-13 NCAA basketball season

Iowa will look to bounce back from a disappointing 69-65 setback to the Indiana Hoosiers on New Year’s Eve, but the program has managed to cover the spread in its last six games, which can’t be ignored when making your NCAA basketball picks Sunday.  The Hawkeyes are certainly up against it at the Crisler Arena, as they’ve lost their last three trips to Ann Arbor by an average of 14.3 points.  The program did snap a six-game Big Ten Conference road skid with a win at Nebraska last year.  Iowa is 2-3 ATS when playing with five of six days rest the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 4-1 in that situation.

The Hawkeyes will be playing outside of the state of Iowa for the first time since Nov. 27, as they will try to score 80-plus points, as they’ve won 16 of their last 18 games when hitting that offensive mark.  Iowa ranks fourth in the country in free throw makes and fifth in attempts.  Offensively, the program is led by junior guard Roy Devyn Marble, who is averaging 15.6 points on 42.2 percent shooting this year.

Michigan opened up conference play with an impressive 94-66 victory over the Northwestern Wildcats as 10-point road favorites, while going OVER the total for a fourth consecutive game.  The Wolverines have won their nine home games this season by an average of 26.5 points per game, with their back court of Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr. leading the way, combining to score 34.3 points per game.  Michigan is 94 ATS as a favorite this year, with the OVER going 8-5 in that situation.

The Wolverines are off to their best start in 24 years, which can’t be ignored when making your NCAA basketball picks Sunday.  Michigan hit the 90-point mark in a conference game for the first time since 2004, with the team ranking second nationally in shooting 51.7 percent from the floor during the 2012-13 college basketball season.  The program has won 24 of its last 25 games inside this venue over the last two seasons.

Sports bettors will likely back the Wolverines due to the home team covering seven of the last nine meetings in this series.
