Baylor has won and covered the spread in its last two games, as it comes off an 80-60 victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers as eight-point home favorites Wednesday night, while going OVER the total for the first time in three contests.  The Bears have held Big 12 Conference foes under 50 points three times during the 2012-13 campaign—after accomplishing that feat just three times in the league’s first 16 years combined.  Baylor is 4-3 ATS as road underdogs of 3.5 to 6 points the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 3-2 in that situation.

The Bears are seeking multiple road wins against ranked foes in the same season for the first time in program history, which is important to consider when making your college basketball picks against the spread.  Baylor leads the league in scoring defense during Big 12 action, allowing 60.7 points per game on 38 percent shooting.  Guard Pierre Jackson is the player to watch on the offensive end, scoring in double figures in 31 consecutive games.

Kansas State plays the first of back-to-back home games in a three-day period Saturday, as it looks to bounce back from a discouraging 83-62 setback to the Kansas Jayhawks as 7.5-point road underdogs Monday.  “We’re still in first place,” commented Wildcats coach Bruce Weber.  “We can’t let one loss become two losses.”  The Wildcats have won 13 of their last 14 games at Bramlage Coliseum, something to keep in mind when looking over the college basketball betting lines.

The Wildcats are 14-12 all-time in this series, including an 8-5 mark when playing at home, but have dropped five of the last nine meetings at this venue.  Senior guard Rodney McGruder is the team’s offensive leader, averaging 15.2 points per game, while seeing action in 100 consecutive games.  The program has compiled a 28-7 mark in the month of February since the 2008-09 campaign, including a 14-3 record at home.

Sports bettors will likely back the Bears due to the underdog being on a 12-4 ATS run in this series.
