The Washington Wizards are 30-28 and seeded 5th in the Eastern Conference. The Wiz are 15-14 on the road this season and will travel to take on the 15-43 Sixers in a game NBA oddsmakers at 5dimes are favoring the Wizards by 12-points.

The Wizards have won its past five contests with victories over Atlanta, New Orleans, Cleveland, Orlando and Toronto. In Thurs night’s 134-129 OT win over Toronto John Wall had 31 points, nine assists and three steals. Marcin Gortat hit 12-of-23 from the floor en route to 31 points, and Gortat added 12 rebounds and four blocks.

The Wizards are making a legitimate playoff run this season, and have added backcourt depth by acquiring Andre Miller at the trade deadline. Miller hit 5-of-7 from the floor in the win over the Raptors to contribute 11 points and two assists in 15 minutes of play. Wall, Bradley Beal and Miller should form a strong three-guard rotation in the playoffs.

The Sixers are looking dead on towards the lottery. The team has the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference and plays virtually no type of real defense at all. The 76ers surrender 110.9 points per game, masking an otherwise effective offense (100.2 points per game, 16th). The team dealt Evan Turner at the trade deadline and is looking to be even less competitive resultantly.

Thaddeus Young and Michael Carter-Williams are really the only two Sixers that would be in a rotation on most teams, and possibly Spencer Hawes. Expect the 76ers to lose badly tonight to a decent Wiz teams, and most teams with any modicum of talent and fluidity will beat this Sixers team. Young is averaging 17.5 points and Carter-Williams averages 17.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game as a rookie. He’s dealing with an eye injury but is expected to play.

PHI Trends: 0-4 ATS in last 4 Saturday games; UNDER 5-0-1 in last 6 Saturday games; 1-8 ATS in last 9 vs teams with winning SU records.

Head-to-head: Wizards 1-5 ATS in last 6 in Philadelphia; UNDER 6-2 in last 8 meetings; Wizards 7-18-1 ATS in last 26 meetings.
