Nuggets Warriors NBA Game Preview

The Golden State Warriors are 9-6 ATS as home favorites of six points or less this season

Utah has won six of its last seven games, including a 95-83 victory over the New Orleans Hornets as eight-point home favorites last Friday, while going UNDER the total for the first time in five contests.  “We’ve played relatively well here coming down to the end,” commented Jazz forward Gordon Hayward.  The Jazz have split two meetings with the Warriors this season, including a 115-101 victory as 3.5-point home favorites on Feb. 19, while going OVER the posted total of 203.5.  Utah is 10-20 ATS as road underdogs of 3.5 to 6 points the last two-plus seasons, which can’t be ignored when making your NBA expert picks Sunday.

The Jazz are 11-27 overall when playing away from EnergySolutions Arena, including a 5-18 mark versus Western Conference opponents.  Utah has been limited to an average of 87.0 points in its last four road games against Golden State, which has led to dropping three of those meetings.

Golden State has won five of its last six games, including a 111-107 victory over the Phoenix Suns as eight-point road favorites last Friday, while going OVER the posted total of 203.5.  The Warriors have been led by the great play of point guard Stephen Curry recently, as he’s averaging 26.3 points over his last nine games.  He dished out a career-high tying 15 assists to go with 18 points last time out.  The team is 26-11 overall at Oracle Arena, including a 15-7 mark versus conference rivals.  Golden State is 9-6 ATS as home favorites of six points or less this season, with the UNDER going 9-6 in those affairs.

The Warriors are looking for just their third series victory against the Jazz since 1994-95, which is important to consider when looking over the NBA betting lines.  Golden State has won 11 of its last 19 regular season home games against Utah, with both teams winning its matchup by 10-or-more points during the 2012-13 campaign.  The squad has enjoyed a 54.5 to 39.5 advantage in the paint the last four games.

Sports bettors will likely play the total in this affair, as the UNDER is 7-1 in the last eight meetings when played in Northern California.
