carlos-boozer-bullsUtah has dropped five of its last six games, including a 104-101 setback to the Cleveland Cavaliers as 1.5-point road underdogs Wednesday night, while going OVER the total for a second consecutive contest.  “These are tough losses,” commented Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin.  “We’ve got to find a way to get better.”  The Jazz have played their last three games without the services of center Al Jefferson, who is dealing with a sprained right ankle.  Utah is 17-18 ATS in March the last two-plus seasons, which can’t be ignored when making your NBA picks against the spread.

The Jazz are 10-21 overall when playing away from EnergySolutions Arena, including a 6-7 mark versus Eastern Conference foes.  Utah has lost six of its last eight road games versus the Bulls, including the last two by an average of 16.0 points.  Jefferson is an important player on the offensive end for this team, as he ranks first in the league in field-goal attempts and field-goal makes, while sitting sixth in terms of defensive rebounds.

Chicago has lost back-to-back games, including a 101-83 setback to the San Antonio Spurs as 8.5-point road underdogs Wednesday night, while going UNDER the posted total of 190.5.  “We’ve got to get guys healthy,” commented Bulls center Joakim Noah.  The Bulls have a laundry list of injuries, but are still third in the league in surrendering just 91.4 points per game.  Chicago is 10-0 ATS when playing on Friday this season, which is important to consider when looking over the NBA betting lines.

The Bulls are 17-14 at the United Center this season, including a 5-7 mark versus Western Conference opponents.  Chicago will likely rely heavily on the play of forward Carlos Boozer on the offensive end in this affair, as he averaged 27.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in 41 minutes of action versus the Jazz during the 2011-12 campaign.  Small forward Luol Deng will need to up his production, as he’s averaging just 13.5 points on 38.9 percent shooting over the last four contests.

Sports bettors will likely back the Bulls due to their 4-0 ATS mark in the last four meetings in this series.
