The Trail Blazers suffered a 108-107 home defeat to the Heat in the first meeting this season on Dec. 28, with Wesley Matthews leading the way at 23 points.  Portland has performed at its when holding opponents under 45 percent shooting from the floor, as it has compiled a 23-16 SU record in that situation.

Miami has alternated wins and losses over its last four contests, as it looks to bounce back from a 105-95 defeat to the New Orleans Pelicans as five-point road favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for the fifth time in six contests.  The Heat are 27-6 SU at home this season, including a 10-3 mark versus Western Conference opponents, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NBA betting lines.  The franchise is 17-33 SU all-time in this series during the regular season.  Miami is 12-5 SU and 10-7 ATS off a upset loss as a favorite.

The Heat have sold out 148 consecutive regular season home games, and 187-straight when including postseason play.  Miami has three of five probable starters averaging double figures, with forward LeBron James leading the way at 26.8 points a contest—scoring 10 or more points in 560 consecutive affairs.  Offensively, the team is averaging 103.6 points on 50.6 percent shooting.

Sports bettors will likely back the Heat due to their 23-11 ATS record in their last 34 games following a SU loss.
