New York Knicks F Carmelo Anthony has put up some solid numbers against the Miami Heat this season

New York had its three-game winning streak snapped last time out, as it dropped a 90-89 decision to the Washington Wizards as five-point home favorites last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total for a fifth consecutive contest.  The Knicks have three players averaging double figures, with forward Carmelo Anthony leading the way at 27.7 points a contest, which is important to consider when making your NBA betting picks.  New York is 5-7 ATS as a road underdog of 6.5 to 9 points, with the UNDER going 8-4 in that situation.

The Knicks are 16-22 SU on the road this season, including a 9-14 mark versus Eastern Conference opponents.  New York is 1-2 this season versus Miami and is now 4-3 over the last two seasons in this matchup.  Anthony has led the way with 28.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists over the first three games against the Heat during the 2013-14 campaign.

Miami had its four-game winning streak come to an end last Saturday, as it suffered a 122-121 overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves as eight-point home favorites, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in seven affairs.  The Heat are 30-7 SU at AmericanAirlines Arena, including a 19-3 mark when taking on conference rivals.  Miami is 4-7 ATS as home favorites of 6.5 to 9 points this season, with the UNDER going 7-4 in those 11 opportunities.

The Heat are averaging 103.0 points per game on 50.3 percent shooting from the field, but their losing the rebounding battle by 3.5 boards per contest.  Miami is 40-5 SU when holding opponents under the century mark, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NBA betting lines.  The franchise recorded a 10-8 record during the month of March—posting at least a .500-plus winning percentage for a 27th consecutive month.

Sports bettors will likely back the Heat due to their 5-0 ATS mark versus Eastern Conference opponents.
