Golden State Warriors PG Stephen Curry is coming off a brilliant offensive performance last time out

Golden State has dropped back-to-back games, including a 109-105 setback to the New York Knicks as 7.5-point road underdogs Wednesday night, while going OVER the total for a second consecutive contest.  The Warriors are worth a look on the pro basketball odds page, considering that starting point guard Stephen Curry is coming off a 54-point performance.  “He put on a clinic,” commented Warriors coach Mark Jackson.    Golden State Warriors are 6-0 ATS versus Atlantic division foes this year, with the OVER going 4-2 in that situation.

The Warriors are 15-18 overall on the road this season, including an 8-5 mark versus Eastern Conference opponents.  Golden State has dropped seven of its last nine games against Boston, but did manage to earn a 101-83 victory in the last meeting as 4.5-point home favorites on Dec. 29, while going UNDER the posted total of 192.5.  Offensively, the team leads the NBA in shooting 39.8 percent from the 3-point area, while it is 7-1 when scoring 20-plus points off turnovers.

Boston has alternated wins and losses over its last four games, as it comes off a 110-107 overtime victory over the Utah Jazz as 7.5-point road underdogs Monday night, while going OVER the total for the third time in four contests.  The Celtics have won seven-straight games at the TD Garden, with opponents averaging just 92.1 points on 41.3 percent shooting in that span.  Boston is 13-3 straight up and 9-7 ATS when playing with three or more days rest the last two-plus seasons, which is important to consider when making your NBA picks against the spread.

The Celtics own a 20-9 overall mark at home, which includes an 11-3 mark when taking on Western Conference foes.  Boston should be able to put up some points in this spot, with Golden State allowing an average of 113.1 points in eight road games during the month of February.

Sports bettors will likely back the Warriors due to their 9-2 ATS mark on the road in this series, while the Celtics are 2-3 ATS as home favorites of 3.5 to 6 points.
