Mavericks-Blazers series preview
The Dallas Mavericks are 25-8 ATS in their last 33 games following a SU loss

Dallas has dropped three of its last four games, including a 116-107 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs as 2.5-point home underdogs Thursday, while going OVER the betting total for a sixth consecutive contest.  The Mavericks have four of five probable starters averaging in double figures, with forward Dirk Nowitzki leading the way in scoring 21.6 points a contest, including a 25-point performance last time out.  He has put together six  straight games of 20 or more points, which is important to consider when making your pro basketball picks.  Dallas is 25-8 ATS in its last 33 games following a SU loss.

The Mavericks are 5-9 SU on the road, including a 2-2 mark versus Eastern Conference opponents, which is hard to ignored when looking over the pro basketball odds page.  Dallas has won 22 of its last 29 meetings against Chicago, including a 100-98 victory as five-point home favorites in the last affair on March 30.  Defensively, the team has recorded at least 10 steals in each of its last five games, which has come out to an average of 11.8 over that span.

Chicago has won back-to-back games, including a 95-78 victory over the Brooklyn Nets as four-point road underdogs on Christmas Day, while going UNDER the betting total in each of those affairs.  The Bulls are 7-5 SU at the United Center, including a 1-1 mark versus Western Conference foes.  It’s important to point out that the squad has allowed just an average of 82.5 points in its 11 wins during the 2013-14 campaign.  Chicago is 8-25-1 ATS in its last 34 games playing on two days rest.

The Bulls have been getting tremendous production out of center Joakim Noah in December, as he’s averaging 13.1 points and 11.9 rebounds in 11 games.  Chicago is still one of the best defensive teams in the league, as its opponents are averaging 92.7 points per game, which is just a tick below last year’s 92.9 mark in that all-important statistical category.

Sports bettors will likely back the Mavericks due to the underdog being 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings.
