The Chicago Bulls are 7-4 ATS as road underdogs of 3.5 to 6 points

Chicago won its final two games of the regular season, including a 95-92 victory over the Washington Wizards as 8.5-point home favorites Wednesday, while going OVER the posted total of 186.5.  The Bulls won three of four regular-season meetings against the Nets, which is important to consider when making your NBA picks against the spread Saturday night.  The franchise is making its fifth straight trip to the postseason and eighth appearance in the last nine years.  Chicago is 7-4 ATS as a road underdog of 3.5 to 6 points, with the OVER going 7-4 in that situation.

The Bulls are 36-26 in Game 1’s during the NBA playoffs, but just 7-20 when those contests are played away from the Windy City.  Chicago ranked third in the league in allowing just 92.9 points per game, but held Brooklyn 87.5 points in its four meetings during the season.  The team will be playing this game without the services of point guard Derrick Rose, who has missed the entire season due to tearing up his left knee in Game 1 of last season’s playoffs.

Brooklyn won six of its last seven games to finish out its regular season schedule, including a 103-99 victory over the Detroit Pistons as five-point home favorites Wednesday, while going OVER the total for the fourth time in five contests.  The Nets are in the playoffs for the first time since 2007, as they bring a postseason series to the city of Brooklyn for the first time since 1956.  Brooklyn is 6-9 ATS as home favorites of 3.5 to 6 points, which is important to consider when looking over the NBA betting lines.

The Nets are 26-15 overall at the Barclays Center, including a 20-6 mark versus Eastern Conference foes.  Brooklyn finished with a winning record in five of six months, including a 7-2 mark in April.  The team was 26-4 when scoring 100-plus points this season, but that will be tough to accomplish against one of the best defenses in the league.  It’s important for this team to enter the fourth quarter with a lead, as it posted a 35-6 mark when accomplishing that feat.

Sports bettors will likely back the Bulls due to their 6-1 ATS mark versus teams with a winning record, while the Nets are 0-4 ATS at home versus a team with a winning road record.
