Maryland has won three of its last four games, including a 38-31 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes as four-point home favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for a second consecutive affair.  The Terrapins are tied for third in the Big Ten Conference with 14 takeaways this season, which is important to consider when making your Week 9 college football predictions, as their on a pace to set their highest total in this category since 2011.  With a victory in Madison, the program would extend its true road winning streak to six.  Maryland is 4-6 SUATS in October the last two-plus seasons.

The Terrapins have scored 24 or more points in seven straight games, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds, as it’s the longest streak in program history to begin a season.  Maryland has totaled 30 plays of 20 or more yards this season, with 12 of those leading directly to scores.  Wide receiver Stefon Diggs is one of the main players to handicap in this matchup, as he’s totaled 3,677 all-purpose yards over the course of his career.

Wisconsin has won four of its last five games, including a 38-28 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini as 27-point home favorites on Oct. 11, as it has won the statistical battle in five consecutive contests.  The Badgers have a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate in Melvin Gordon, who is averaging a nation-leading 174.2 rushing yards per game, while he would set an NCAA record by gaining 8.03 yards per carry if he never touched the ball as a collegiate again.  Wisconsin is 7-0 SU and 4-3 ATS as favorites of 10.5 to 21 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Badgers are just the third team from a Power Five conference since 2000 to pile up 2,000 or more rushing yards in their first six games of the season, while you can’t over look their stop unit.  Wisconsin’s defense ranks 10th in the country in surrendering just 17.7 points a contest.

Sports bettors will likely back the Badgers due to their 3-0 SUATS mark off a regular-season bye since the start of last season.
