Arizona is a 10.5 point favorite at Oregon St Saturday. The Wildcats are coming off their first loss of the season Thursday at Oregon.

After suffering their first loss of the season Thursday night at the Oregon Ducks 70-66, the 14-1 Arizona Wildcats now make the 47 mile trip south to Corvallis to take on the  10-5 Oregon St Beavers. The Beavers lost to Arizona st 72-62 Thursday night to drop to 0-2 in the Pac 12. Arizona is 2-1 in conference.

Arizona leads the series 55-20, including 20-13 in Corvallis. Arizona has won 4 straight games in the series. The Wildcats won both games last season in Tucson and in the Pac 12 tournament. Oregon St won the last meeting in Corvallis in 2011.

Arizona is coached by Sean Miller. The Wildcats have key home wins over UTEP, Long Beach St, Southern Miss, Florida, Utah and Colorado, along with road wins over Texas Tech and Clemson. The Wildcats also won a tournament in Hawaii with wins over Miami-(FL) and San Diego St. Arizona is 7-6 this season, and the total is 1-8-1 this season.

Arizona is outscoring teams 76-61 this season. The Wildcats are shooting  46.2% from the field and 38.5% from 3 point range. The Wildcats are in the top 50 nationally in scoring, field goal percentage and 3 point shooting. Arizona is 12th in free throw shooting at 76.5% from the line. Grant Jarrett and Jordin Mayes make up the rest of the rotation.

Oregon St is coached by Craig Robinson. The Beavers have losses to Alabama in New York City, to Kansas in Kansas City, and at home to Towson in overtime and Oregon. Oregon St has key wins over New Mexico St, Purdue in New York, and San Diego in Las Vegas. Oregon St is 4-7 ATS and all six games with a posted total have gone under.

Oregon St is outscoring teams 76-69 this season. The Beavers are #43 in scoring nationally. Oregon St is shooting 46.2% from the field and  37.9% from 3 point range. The Beavers are #51 in field goal percentage and #34 in 3 point shooting. Oregon St makes 65.5% of their free throws. He averaged 11.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1 steal a game. Eric Moreland averages 10.8 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 2.7 blocks per game. He is suspended indefinitely. Olaf Schaftenaar, Jarmal Reid, and Challe Barton make up the rest of the rotation. Forward Daniel Gomis is also out for the season with a leg injury. He has not played in a game this season. Guard Victor Robbins is also suspended indefinitely.

Arizona is 9-1 ATS after a straight up loss, 7-2 in road games against teams with winning home records, 15-6 in road games, 11-5 after failing to cover, 0-4 against teams with winning records, overall, and against PAC 12 teams.

Oregon St is 7-16 ATS in Saturday games, 2-6 after a straight up win, 1-4 against teams with winning records, 0-6 in home games, 0-5 overall, and 0-4 in Pac 12 games. The Beavers are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 against Arizona, and 5-1 in Corvallis. The home team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 in this series.

Oregon St is shorthanded with all of the injuries and suspensions, especially in the front court. I think an angry Arizona team wins on the road.
