UAB will venture outside of its conference for the final time this season, as it comes off a 34-22 defeat to Middle Tennessee State as two-point road underdogs last week, while going UNDER the betting total for the first time in four contests.  The Blazers are certainly capable of moving the ball offensively, which is important to consider when making your Week 9 college football predictions, as quarterback Cody Clements ranks fifth in the country in completing 69.9 percent of his passes.  UAB is 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS as underdogs of 21.5 to 31 points the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 4-0 in that situation.

The Blazers will need to control the line of scrimmage defensively, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football betting lines, as they’ve held opponents to an average of 161.0 yards per game on 3.9 yards a carry.  UAB has played solid football for three quarters the entire season, but it has scored just 31 points in the final 15 minutes of play.  It’s important to point out that the program has a minus-six turnover margin heading into this affair against a Southeastern Conference opponent.

Arkansas will try to snap a three-game losing streak, which includes a 45-32 setback to the Georgia Bulldogs as three-point home underdogs, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in that span.  The Razorbacks have won six of seven non-conference games under second-year head coach Bret Bielema, while the school has compiled a perfect 13-0 SU record versus such foes in games played in October since becoming a member of the SEC in 1992.  Arkansas is 0-2 ATS as favorites of 21.5 to 31 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Razorbacks have played a difficult schedule this season, with four of their seven opponents being ranked in the top 10 at the time of the game.  Arkansas is 55-33-4 SU all-time in Homecoming games, while it has put together a 52-29-3 mark versus current members of Conference USA.  Offensively, the team is the only one nationally with two running backs with 600-plus rushing yards, with Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins having 677 and 665 respectively.

Sports bettors will likely play the total, as the OVER is 17-11 in Razorbacks’ games since 2012.
