LSU hits the road for the third time in four weeks, as it comes off a 17-6 victory over the Florida Gators as nine-point home favorites last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total of 49.5.  The Tigers rank third in the Southeastern Conference in averaging 41.4 points per game, with quarterback Zach Mettenberger leading the way with a 184.1 passer rating.  Running back Jeremy Hill leads the SEC in rushing touchdowns with nine, while ranking second in averaging 119.2 yards per game on the ground.  LSU is 6-1 SUATS as favorites of 3.5 to 10 points the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 4-3 in that situation.

The Tigers have won 35 of their last 36 games when scoring at least 30 points, which is important to consider when making your college football predictions in Week 7.  LSU holds a 58-39-4 all-time record against Mississippi—winning three straight and nine of the last 11 in the series.  Head coach Les Miles is 52-20 in conference play since taking over in Baton Rouge, while owning a 24-7 record in the month of October overall under his direction.

Mississippi is 3-3 for the second straight year and will try to snap a three-game losing streak, as it suffered a 41-38 defeat to the Texas A&M Aggies as seven-point home underdogs last Saturday.  The Rebels will be playing their third Top-10 ranked opponent in four games, with its last such victory coming in 2009.  The program has played 12 true freshmen this season, which is tied for eight-most among Division I schools.  Mississippi is 6-10 SU and 8-8 ATS since 2011, with the OVER going 8-6-2 in that situation.

The Rebels need a huge game from quarterback Bo Wallace, who completed 22 of 36 passes for 301 yards and three touchdowns with a single interception versus the Aggies.  Mississippi didn’t get much production from star running back Jeff Scott last week, as he ran just four times for 10 yards due to a leg injury, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page.

Sports bettors will likely back the Tigers due to their 9-4-1 ATS mark in their last 14 road games.
