Kansas State has compiled a 16-7 SU record after 23 previous mid-season bye weeks under legendary head coach Bill Snyder, which is important to consider when making your Week 8 college football betting picks, as the team was last seen picking up a 45-13 victory over Texas Tech as 14-point home favorites on Oct. 4.  The Wildcats are 18-72-4 SU all-time against the Sooners, including a 3-8 mark in Norman under the watch of Snyder.  Kansas State is 7-2 SU and 8-0-1 ATS in weeks 5 through 9 the last tow-plus seasons.

The Wildcats will need a big game out of quarterback Jake Waters, who threw for a career-high 348 yards in last year’s 41-31 defeat to the Sooners as 5.5-point home favorites.  Kansas State has done a great job in extending drives this season, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page, as it ranks seventh nationally in third-down conversion percentage.  On the other side of the football, the squad is 15th in the country in allowing just 315.8 yards per game.

Oklahoma returns home for the first time since Sept. 13, as it comes off a 31-26 victory over the Texas Longhorns as 16.5-point neutral-site favorites last week, while going OVER the betting total in its last three contests.  The Sooners are 14-1 SU at home against ranked Big 12 Conference opponents under longtime head coach Bob Stoops, but the only loss came against the Wildcats in 2012.  Oklahoma is 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS as favorites of 3.5 to 10 points the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 5-1 in those six opportunities.

The Sooners will do their best in trying to keep the Wildcats to 21 or fewer points, as their opponent this week has dropped their last 17 games versus top-25 foes when failing to reach that number.  It’s important to keep an eye on the scoreboard after 30 minutes of action, as Oklahoma and Kansas State own the nation’s two-longest active win streaks when leading at halftime.

Sports bettors will likely back the Sooners due to their 7-0 ATS mark after allowing 450 total yards or more in their previous contest.
