The Kentucky Wildcats are 3-0 ATS through three games of the 2014 season

Vanderbilt is 1-3 SUATS through four games this season, which is important to consider when making your college football predictions, as it has lost the statistical battle in each of those affairs.  The Commodores are in the middle of a youth movement under head coach Derek Mason, as they’ve had 33 first-time contributors, including a nation-leading 31 freshmen participants.  Vanderbilt is 5-9 SU and 8-6 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 9-5 in that situation.

The Commodores are 41-41-4 SU all-time against the Wildcats, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page.  Vanderbilt is looking for its third straight road victory in Southeastern Conference play, as it ended the 2013 campaign with wins at Florida and Tennessee.  Darrius Sims is a dangerous player in the return game, as he returned two kickoffs in last week’s 48-34 setback to the South Carolina Gamecocks as 23-point home underdogs.

Kentucky is 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS during the 2014 campaign, as it looks to bounce back from a disappointing 36-30 overtime loss to the Florida Gators as 17.5-point road underdogs on Sept. 13.  The Wildcats are hoping that sophomore quarterback Patrick Towles can build off his last performance, as he completed 24 of 45 passes for 369 yards and three touchdowns, with true freshman receiver Garrett Johnson being the main target with six catches for 154 yards and two scores.  Kentucky is 3-0 SUATS as favorites of 10.5 to 21 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Wildcats are 22nd in the country in scoring defense and sit behind just 23 teams in terms of total offense.  Kentucky has totaled 547 rushing yards through three games, with 84 percent of that production coming from players that didn’t see action a year ago.  It’s also important to point out that the team has received a total of 72 percent of its points being scored by redshirt and true freshmen.

Sports bettors will likely back the Wildcats due to their 6-2 SUATS mark as favorites in their last eight opportunities.
