Missouri’s current six-game road winning streak is tied for the third-best in school history, which is important to consider when making your Week 5 college football predictions, as it has compiled a 105-64 SU overall record under longtime head coach Gary Pinkel.  The Tigers are looking to rebound from a last-second 31-27 home loss to the Indiana Hoosiers last Saturday, as they were flagged for a season-high 10 penalties for 75 yards.  Missouri is 2-0 SUATS as road underdogs of 3.5 to 7 points the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER cashing in both of those opportunities.

The Tigers have dropped both of their meetings against the Gamecocks since joining the Southeastern Conference in 2012, including a 27-24 overtime defeat as three-point home favorites last year.  Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk has gotten off to a great start this season, as he’s completed 61.6 percent of his passes for 978 yards and 14 touchdowns with four interceptions.  He established career-best totals in completions, attempts, and passing yards last time out.

South Carolina has rattled off three consecutive victories since a season-opening loss to Texas A&M, while the OVER is 3-1 in its four contests overall.  The Gamecocks have put together a 3-3 record when ESPN’s College GameDay visits Columbia, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds.  It’s important to point out that the program is the only one in the country to play three teams ranked in this week’s top 25.  South Carolina is 5-2 SU and 2-5 ATS as favorites of 3.5 to 7 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Gamecocks are 20-1 SU in their last 21 games at Williams-Brice Stadium, while they’ve put together a 36-4 record in that situation in their last 40 contests.  South Carolina is 2-0 against SEC East Division opponents this season, while it has captured 20 of 24 such meetings this decade under head coach Steve Spurrier.

Sports bettors will likely back the Gamecocks due to their 6-1 ATS record versus teams with a winning record.
