Tennessee will look to bounce back from its first loss of the season, as it suffered a 34-10 setback to the Oklahoma Sooners as 21-point road underdogs on Sept. 13, while going UNDER the betting total for the third time in as many opportunities.  The Volunteers have played a lot of first-year players this season, which is important to consider when making your Week 5 college football predictions, including 16 true freshmen against the Sooners.  Tennessee has covered six of the last eight meetings in this series.

The Volunteers will need a huge game from star linebacker A.J. Johnson, who recorded his 19th career double-digit tackle game last time out, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page.  Tennessee will be looking to gain revenge from a 34-31 overtime loss to Georgia as 13.5-point home underdogs in last year’s meeting, as it was outgained by just 30 yards in that affair.

Georgia will look to win its third game in as many tries at Sanford Stadium in 2014, as it registered a 66-0 victory over the Troy Trojans as 41-point favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for the third consecutive affair.  The Bulldogs removed starting quarterback Hutson Mason quickly from the matchup, as he finished 8-for-11 passing for 97 yards and two touchdowns.  The program tallied 367 rushing yard on 39 attempts—the most such yards in the Mark Richt era.  Georgia is 1-4 ATS in its last five home games in this series.

The Bulldogs own a plus-four turnover margin on the season—converting those miscues into 10 points.  Georgia should have a fresh Todd Gurley for this Southeastern Conference affair, as he had just six carries for 73 yards in the first half against the Trojans.  From a handicapping standpoint, it’s significant to point out that the squad has ran for 520 combined yards on the ground in the last two meetings in this rivalry.

Sports bettors will likely back the Volunteers due the Bulldogs being 1-6-1 ATS versus teams with a winning record.
