Houston is 3-0 and has defeated Southern, Temple and Rice this season. The Cougars have been strong offensively and rank 23rd in the nation in passing yardage (296.3 per game) and 20th in rushing yardage (252 per game).

The Cougars use two QBs, but it is John O’Korn who has started the last two games, and he’s thrown 38-of-64 over the last two contests. Ryan Jackson is the primary ball carrier and he’s been effective, rushing 51 times for 316 yards. Kenneth Farrow has been good, too, pacing for 175 yards on 29 carries. O’Korn’s major receiving target Deontay Greenberry is having a big season with 26 receptions for 381 yards and two TDs.

UTSA won last week over UTEP and is 2-2 on the season with the other victory having been a 21-13 win over New Mexico in week 1. Losses to Oklahoma State and Arizona were expected, but this week offers a rare chance at another victory against Houston.

Eric Soza is a good QB for the Roadrunners and already has 1,000-plus yards on the year with a 64.1 percent completion ratio. Soza has rushed for another 102 yards and David Glasco II has 160 yards on 32 carries as well. Soza has a host of receiving options, as UTSA has ten players with at least five receptions on the season.
