Miami has won back-to-back games since its season-opening loss at Louisville, as its defense is ranked eighth in the country in allowing just 259.7 yards per game, which can’t be ignored when making your Week 4 college football picks.  The Hurricanes are one of seven teams in the country to have at least five different players recover a fumble.  Offensively, the main player to watch is certainly running back Duke Johnson, who has gained 297 yards on 43 carries, while also scoring two touchdowns on the ground.  Miami is 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS as underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points since 2012, with the UNDER cashing three times in that situation.

The Hurricanes have a major perimeter weapon in senior wide receiver Phillip Dorsett, who was recognized with ACC Receiver of the Week honors after grabbing four balls for 201 yards in last week’s 41-20 win over Arkansas State as 14.5-point home favorites.  Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya will look to build off his 342-yard performance during Week 3, as the California native ranks 15th nationally in averaging 15.4 yards per completion.

Nebraska is aiming to complete non-conference play unbeaten for the first time since 2011, which is important to consider when looking over the college football odds, as it returns home after tallying a 55-19 rout of Fresno State on the road last Saturday.  The Cornhuskers have met the Hurricanes 10 times during the regular season and bowl games, with each institution coming away with five victories.  Nebraska is 8-2 SU and 6-4 ATS in September the last two-plus seasons.

The Cornhuskers have been pleased with the play of sophomore quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr., as he’s thrown for 200 or more yards in three consecutive games.  Nebraska is fortunate to have Ameer Abdullah in the backfield, as he ranks in the top five in school history in career rushing yards.  The squad has won 13 straight home night games and is 39-5 all-time under the lights in Lincoln.

Sports bettors will likely back the Cornhuskers due to the Hurricanes going 1-5 ATS in their last six games versus teams with a winning record.
