The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 games as road favorites of 7.5 to 10 points

Georgia Tech is set to play its ACC opener Saturday, as it picked up a 70-0 blowout victory over Elon in its season opener, while going OVER the betting total of 58.5.  The Yellow Jackets returned 15 starters and 54 letterwinners from last year’s team that won the ACC Coastal Division, which is important to consider when making your college football predictions Saturday afternoon.  The program is 15-15 SU all-time in ACC openers, while it leads this series by a 49-30-1 margin.  Georgia Tech is 3-10-1 ATS in its last 14 games as road favorites of 7.5 to 10 points.

The Yellow Jackets rank fourth nationally in rushing offense entering the third week in the 2013 campaign—the sixth consecutive year that they rank in the top five in that particular category.  Georgia Tech has won the last nine and 17 of the last 18 meetings in this particular series, which is hard to ignored when looking over the NCAA football betting lines.  In his five-plus seasons with the program, head coach Paul Johnson is a remarkable 15-2 against teams from his home state.

Duke is 2-0 SUATS through two weeks of the season, as it picked up a 28-14 victory over Memphis as 3.5-point road favorites last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total of 51.  The Blue Devils will look to get the ball in the hands of running back Juwan Thompson, who is just seven yards shy of becoming the 40th player in program history to reach the 1,000-yard barrier on the ground.  It’s safe to say the school is focused on trying to make back-to-back bowl appearances for the first time in its history.  Duke is 5-2 ATS at home with a total of 56.5 to 63, with the UNDER going 4-3 in that situation.

The Blue Devils have won six of their eight games at Wallace Wade Stadium over the last two seasons, averaging 40.4 points per game in 2012, compared to just 22.9 points per game away from Durham.  Duke has scored at least 30 points in seven of its last eight home games and has scored in 21 of its last 23 quarters at this venue.

Sports bettors will likely back the Blue Devils due to their 7-0 ATS mark after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
