The Clemson Tigers have dropped their last four meetings against the South Carolina Gamecocks

Clemson has won eight consecutive games away from home, which includes a perfect 4-0 road mark during the 2013 campaign.  The Tigers have also managed to compile a 21-3 SU record in their last 24 contests, with the only losses coming to teams that were ranked in the top 13 in the nation entering the game, which is important to consider when looking over the college football betting lines.  The program is ranked sixth in the current BCS standings, as it attempts to snap a four-game losing streak in this series.  Clemson is 4-3 SU and 5-2 ATS as an underdog the last two-plus seasons.

The Tigers will need a huge performance out of quarterback Tajh Boyd, but he may be able to deliver, as he’s thrown for 2,219 yards and 26 touchdowns with just nine interceptions in the mont of November the last two years.  Clemson is also one of just ten FBS teams entering the week to be undefeated on the road.  The team is outscoring opponents by 22.1 points per game, which would be the sixth best mark in school history.

South Carolina will wrap up its 2013 regular season schedule with the annual Palmetto State Showdown, as it attempts to win five games in a row in this series for the first time in school history.  The Gamecocks have won a school-record 17 consecutive home games, which can’t be ignored when making your college football predictions in Week 14.  A big part in that run is the play of senior quarterback Connor Shaw, who has gone 24-5 as a starter.  South Carolina is 9-1 SU and 6-4 ATS in November since 2011, with the UNDER going 5-4-1 in those 10 opportunities.

The Gamecocks will be celebrating Senior Day at Williams-Brice Stadium, but they only have six such players on the roster—the fewest in the country.  South Carolina will be playing its eighth game featuring two teams ranked in the top 10, as it looks to improve upon its dismal 1-6 record in that situation.  Head coach Steve Spurrier is 6-5 over the course of his career against Clemson.

Sports bettors will likely play the total, as the UNDER is 10-4 in the Tigers’ last 14 games in November.
