Wisconsin has won five games in a row, including a 59-24 victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers as 4.5-point home favorites last week, while capturing the statistical battle by a triple-digit margin for the eighth time in 10 contests this year.  The Badgers ran for 581 yards last time out, which can’t be ignored when making your Week 13 college football predictions, with Heisman Trophy winner Melvin Gordon being the star of the show.  On the other side of the ball, the squad is giving up just 244.0 yards per game, while it forced five turnovers versus the Cornhuskers.  Wisconsin will find that the road team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in this series.

The Badgers will give the ball to Gordon as much as possible, which is important to consider when looking over the college football betting lines, as he set a school and Big Ten Conference record with 408 rushing yards on 25 carries last week.  Wisconsin has watched its Heisman Trophy candidate score at least two touchdowns in seven of his last eight games, while his 25 total scores trails only Montee Ball’s 39 for the highest in a single season.

Iowa has alternated wins and losses over its last five games, as it returns home after picking up a 30-14 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini as 5.5-point road favorites, while capturing the statistical battle by a 316-yard margin.  The Hawkeyes have trailed in five of their seven wins this season, while they’ve managed to score 30 or more points in four Big Ten games for the first time since 2002.  The program is 62-6 SU when scoring 30 or more points under longtime head coach Kirk Ferentz.  Iowa is 3-0-1 ATS in its last four home games versus a team with a winning road record.

The Hawkeyes are starting to run the football more effectively, as they gained a season-high 304 rushing yards last week—the fourth-highest total during the Ferentz era.  Iowa running back Mark Weisman is one of the main players to handicap in this matchup, as he’s put together nine career 100-yard rushing games.

Sports bettors will likely back the Hawkeyes due to their 7-3 ATS mark in the last 10 meetings in this rivalry.
