Wisconsin heads to Iowa City after enjoying its second bye week of the 2013 campaign, as these two programs face off for the first time since 2010, with the series deadlocked at 42-42-2.  The Badgers have won back-to-back games, including a 56-32 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini as 14.5-point road favorites on Oct. 19, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in three contests.  The program has won its last six games following a regular-season bye week, outscoring its opponents by a combined 278-50 margin in those affairs.  Wisconsin is 3-4 SU and 2-5 ATS as favorites of 3.5 to 10 points the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 5-2 in that situation.

The Badgers will become bowl eligible for a 12th consecutive season with a victory in this spot, which is important to consider when making your college football predictions in Week 10.  Wisconsin is 10-4 in November road games since 2006, as it will rely heavily on its sixth ranked scoring and total defense.  Offensively, sophomore running back Melvin Gordon leads the Big Ten Conference in averaging 144.6 rushing yards per game.

Iowa ended a two-game losing streak by picking up a 17-10 overtime victory over the Northwestern Wildcats as 3.5-point home favorites last Saturday, but lost the statistical battle for the third straight contest.  The Hawkeyes’ three losses are to teams with a combined record of 23-1, which is important to consider when looking over the college football odds page.  Since the 2002 campaign, the team has amassed 54 league victories, which ranks fourth in the Big Ten over that span.  Iowa is 3-9 SU and 5-7 ATS as an underdog the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 8-4 in those 12 opportunities.

The Hawkeyes are allowing 18.1 points per contest, which has been made possible by allowing just two rushing touchdowns—the lowest total in the country.  Iowa is 5-0 when winning the turnover battle, as it enters this week with a plus-two margin in that statistical category.

Sports bettors will likely back the Badgers due to the road team being 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.
