The UCLA Bruins are 6-9 SU all-time against the Duke Blue Devil,

Duke has won two games in a row, including an 85-66 victory over the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs as 26-point home favorites Monday, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in four contests.  The Blue Devils have won 22 straight games in the month of December, which is important to consider when making your college basketball predictions Thursday night.  The program is also playing its 222nd straight games as a top-10 team in the AP poll.  Duke is 5-2 SUATS as neutral court favorites of 3.5 to 6 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Blue Devils are led on the offensive end by true freshman forward Jabari Parker, who has recorded an ACC-high eight 20-point scoring performances, while two other players on the roster average 14.7 points or more per game.  Parker combines with point guard Rodney Hood to score 40.9 points a contest—the fifth-highest combined average in NCAA basketball this season.  Offensively, the team ranks 14th in the country in averaging 86.1 points per game, while shooting 51.7 percent from the field.

UCLA has registered a 6-9 SU all-time record against Duke, as it prepares to play at Madison Square Garden in New York City.  The Bruins have one of the more talented rosters in the country, with no player averaging as close to a triple-double as forward Kyle Anderson.  He’s one of the more dynamic front court players in the nation, while guard Jordan Adams is averaging a team-high 21.2 points per game.  UCLA is 10-7 SU and 6-10-1 ATS on a neutral floor the last two-plus seasons.

The Bruins are third in the country in averaging 89.1 points per game, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college basketball odds page.  UCLA has made a smooth transition from Ben Howland to first-year head coach Steve Alford, who was previously at the helm at New Mexico.  The program was picked to finish second out of 12 teams in the annual Pac-12 Conference preseason media poll.

Sports bettors will likely back the Bruins due to their 4-1 ATS mark in their last five games.
