California makes its second-longest road trip of the regular season, as it makes a 1,420-mile trek to Nebraska, which is only out-distanced by a 2,360-mile trip to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational in November.  The Golden Bears have three probable starters averaging in double figures, with senior guard Justin Cobbs leading the way at 13.9 points a contest, which is important to consider when making your college basketball predictions.  He has scored 1,077 points in 78 career games since arriving in Berkeley.  California is 1-1 SUATS when playing on seven or more days rest the last two-plus seasons.

After scoring 73 points or more nine times out of 33 games last season, the Golden Bears have already topped that threshold in seven of their first 11 contests during the 2013-14 campaign.  California is averaging 75.1 points per game, which is up 7.9 points per game from last year’s figure of 67.2.  The program owns a 6-4 SU all-time record against Big East Conference opponents, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college basketball odds page.  Head coach Mike Montgomery has sent out four different starting lineups in the first 11 games.

Creighton will play its final game before a short Christmas break, as it was last seen on the floor picking up an 88-51 blowout victory over Arkansas Pine Bluff as 30.5-point home favorites last Tuesday.  The Bluejays returned 11 lettermen and four starters from last year’s 28-8 team that reached the third round of the NCAA Tournament for a second consecutive season.  Senior forward Doug McDermott is the main player to handicap, as he’s averaging 25.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.  Creighton is 6-1 SU and 4-2-1 ATS as home favorites of 9.5 to 12 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Blue Jays have compiled a 10-0 SU record when playing a Sunday night affair at the CenturyLink Center, with eight of those wins coming by a double-digit margin.  Creighton has welcomed in three Pac-12 Conference opponents into this venue—picking up a victory in each of those affairs.

Sports bettors will likely back the Blue Jays due to their 11-4 ATS mark in their last 15 overall games.
