The Florida Gators have won eight consecutive games against the Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama has dropped three games in a row, including a 65-58 setback to the Arkansas Razorbacks as 7.5-point road underdogs Wednesday, while going UNDER the betting total of 144.  The Crimson Tide own a 73-63 all-time edge over the Gators, but they’ve dropped the last eight meetings, which is important to consider when making your college basketball predictions.  The program has the No. 3 overall strength of schedule according to ESPN entering the weekend.  Alabama is 2-7 ATS in its last nine road games.

The Crimson Tide have allowed opponents to score a combined 189 points in the second half in their last four SEC games, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college basketball odds page.  Alabama is a perfect 7-0 SU when holding opponents to 65 or fewer points, while going 2-13 when allowing more than that point total.  Senior guard Trevor Releford is the main player to watch, as he’s averaging 18.0 points in 34.4 minutes of action.

Florida has won 14 games in a row, including a 68-58 victory over the Missouri Tigers as 12.5-point home favorites last time out, while going UNDER the betting total for the sixth time in seven contests.  The Gators have opened up league play with at least nine straight wins for the second time under longtime head coach Billy Donovan.  Offensively, the team enjoyed a plus-24 advantage over Alabama from the three-point area in the first meeting this season.  Florida is 4-1-1 ATS in its last six home games versus teams with a losing record.

The Gators rank sixth in the country in allowing just 57.4 points per game—holding 13 opponents to 61 or fewer points.  Florida has five players averaging double figures, with senior forward Casey Prather leading the way at 15.7 points a contest.  Each of those players have led the program in scoring in at least one game during the 2013-14 campaign.

Sports bettors will likely back the Gators due to the Crimson Tide being 1-4-1 ATS in their last six conference games.
