Alabama will participate in the semifinals of the 2013 NIT Season Tip-Off, as it prepares to play a top-10 team for the 131st time in program history, which is important to consider when making your college basketball predictions Wednesday night.  The Crimson Tide are 1-7 SU all-time against the Blue Devils, which includes a 1-5 mark when meeting up on a neutral floor.  The team is outscoring opponents by 14.3 points per game in putting together a 3-1 record through four contests.  Alabama is 11-3 ATs in all tournament games the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 10-4 in that situation.

The Crimson Tide are known for playing tremendous defense under head coach Anthony Grant, which was clearly demonstrated during the 2012-13 campaign, as they allowed just 58.4 points per game.  Alabama has compiled a 62-14 SU record when holding opponents to 60 or fewer points under his watch, but that type of performance is going to be difficult against one of the top offensive teams in basketball.

Duke has won 26 consecutive regular-season tournament games and are 77-15 in that situation under Coach K, which is important to consider when looking over the college basketball odds page.  The Blue Devils are 19-2 in this particular event, with 13 consecutive victories.  Offensively, the team is absolutely loaded with three players averaging in double figures, with freshman forward Jabari Parker leading the way with 23.0 points per game.  Duke is 0-2 ATS versus teams with a winning record this season.

The Blue Devils are averaging 92.7 points per game, which has been made possible by seven players shooting better than 50 percent from the field.  Duke has one of the more dynamic point guards in the country in junior Quinn Cook, who leads the ACC and ranks eighth nationally in averaging 7.2 assists per game.  The bench has been a big contributor in the early going during the 2013-14 campaign—producing a double-figure scorer in five of six contests.

Sports bettors will likely back the Blue Devils due to their 6-4 ATS mark after allowing 80 or more points in their last 10 opportunities.
