Cleveland has lost four games in a row, including a 118-111 setback to the Houston Rockets as eight-point home underdogs last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total of 204.  The Cavaliers will be meeting the Knicks for the fourth and final time during the 2013-14 campaign, as they’ve knocked down 40.0 percent of their shots from beyond the arc in the series.  It’s important to point out that the team has shot over 50.0 percent from the field overall in two of its last three affairs.  Cleveland is 2-3 SUATS as road underdogs of 9.5 to 12 points this season, with the UNDER going 4-1 in that situation.

The Cavaliers are being led on the offensive end by guard Dion Waiters, who is averaging 24.3 points and 7.7 assists in three games since re-entering the starting lineup.  Since Feb. 8, Cleveland is holding opponents to the sixth-lowest field goal percentage in the league, as well as the eighth-lowest points per game.  The franchise is trying to play through numerous injuries, with the biggest one being starting point guard Kyrie Irving being out with a left biceps strain.

New York has won eight consecutive games, including a 93-92 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers as 12-point road favorites last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total for a second consecutive contest.  The Knicks have one of the more dynamic offensive players in the league in forward Carmelo Anthony, who enters averaging 28.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.  New York is 14-5 SU and 10-9 ATS as home favorites of 9.5 to 12 points the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 11-8 in those 19 opportunities.

The Knicks have compiled a disappointing 16-20 SU record at Madison Square Garden, including a 12-9 mark versus Eastern Conference foes.  Anthony has led the team in points, rebounds and assists in the three previous meetings against the Cavaliers this season.

Sports bettors will likely back the Knicks due to the favorite being 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in this series.
