Arizona has won back-to-back games, including a 27-26 victory over the Washington Huskies as 7.5-point home favorites last week, while going UNDER the betting total for the fifth time in six contests.  The Wildcats are still alive in the Pac-12 Conference South Division standings, which can’t be ignored when making your college football betting picks, while they occupy the No. 15 spot in the most recent playoff rankings.  Arizona is 5-7 SU and 6-6 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons, with no clear edge in terms of the betting total (6-6 Over/Under).

The Wildcats have won both of their meetings against the Utes since third-year head coach Rich Rodriguez arrived in Tucson, which is important to consider when looking over the college football betting odds, as they gained over 300 yards on the ground in each of those affairs.  Arizona has a new weapon offensively for its opponent to worry about, with quarterback Anu Solomon under center, who leads all freshman nationally with 3,058 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Utah has been out-gained in its last eight contests, but it did manage to snap a two-game losing streak by picking up a 20-17 overtime victory over the Stanford Cardinal as 10-point road underdogs last week.  The Utes have split their four games against ranked opponents this season, as they sit among the Top 25 nationally for the seventh straight week.  Defensively, the team is led by the play of Nate Orchard, as he leads the country in averaging 1.65 sacks per game.  Utah is 11-5 SU and 8-8 ATS as favorites the last two-plus seasons.

The Utes will celebrate the careers of 17 seniors at Rice-Eccles Stadium, while many of them will keep their eyes on some underclassmen as well.  Utah has a chance of winning this game if running back Devontae Booker continues his strong play, as he ranks third in the Pac-12 in averaging 111.3 yards per game on the ground.

Sports bettors will likely back the Wildcats due to the underdog being 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in this series.
