3 NFL Games Scheduled for Turkey Day!

This season the NFL has added a third matchup to its Thanksgiving slate of games.  Now all football fans are treated to 3 games spanning throughout the holiday, giving bettors a chance to have action while the family is in town.

First up for football fans is a 12:30 ET start as the Detroit Lions welcome the Miami Dolphins to the turf of Ford Field. The bookmakers have installed Miami as a 3-point favorite for this appetizer with the total sitting at 39, as ex-Lions QB Joey Harrington returns at the helm of the Dolphins. After a terrible start to the season – including six losses in their first seven games – Miami has reeled off three victories is a row and is making a run at a postseason berth.

Game two is slated to kick off at 4:15 pm ET, as the banged upTampa Bay Buccaneers head to Dallas to face Tony Romo and the resurgent Cowboys. Americas team has won two in a row after knocking off the undefeated Indianapolis Colts last week, and are listed as 10.5/11 point favorites (depending where you bet) after being bet down from the intial opener of -12.  The total currently is sitting at 39.

In the evening contest, after you have stuffed your face with turkey and can’t get up, the NFL Network will feature its first regular season matchup of the season.  The Denver Broncos will visit the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead in a contest with serious AFC playoff implications.

Denver is coming off a 35-27 loss to San Diego last week, in a game where the Broncos lead by 17 before Rivers and company came storming back, while the Chiefs have won six of their past eight including Sunday’s come-from-behind win over the leagues worst team the Oakland Raiders, 17-13. Oddsmakers currently have the Chiefs as a 1 point favorite with the total at 38 points.

For those College fans Boston College and Miami will square off in the Orange bowl.  Will the Hurricanes be able to get up for this game, or will the Eagles roll?  Maddux Sports has the answers for all of your Thanksgiving action and is expecting to release 3 football picks for members come Wednesday night.  Be sure to get on board and make your holiday a winning one.

  1. Please, now can we fire Matt Millen? We have proved it was not Joey. The problem is Matt. He is the worst GM of all time in any sport. That is saying a lot coming from a Lions fan.
