NBA - Hughes Out? Cavs in Trouble

After winning game three, the Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves in a dicey position due to a freakish injury to starting point guard Larry Hughes (14.9 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 3.7 APG, .333- 3-point). Hughes was not at the team’s shoot-around on Tuesday leaving doubts as to whether or not he’d be available for tonight’s tip-off at 8 pm ET.

NBA - James, James and James in Game Three

The venue switched from the Motor City to the Rockin’ Cleveland, and that seemed like the perfect place for the Cavs to be. LeBron James took his play before hometown fans to the level it must be at for Cleveland to have a chance against the finely tuned Pistons.

NBA - Home Cooking Good the First Night

For the Utah Jazz and the Cleveland Cavaliers going home worked wonders. With both teams down 2 games to zip, each pulled off a victory. The Jazz beat the Spurs 109 to 83 in game three, using some excellent defense and finding the three-point mark. The Cavs managed to get by the Pistons 88- 82 in an extremely tough defensive series that is yet to see a blow out. (more…)

NFL - Will Moss Make the Difference?

The acquisition of Randy Moss by the New England Patriots surprised a lot of experts. Why? Well, Moss is not your typical Pat. Typical means a team player who doesn’t make a show of his greatness, who doesn’t complain, who plays by the company rules. The number one rule being—the game and game prep should always be your focus.

MLB - Yankees Slide May = Cashman’s Demise

The Yanks lost again today to the Los Angeles Angels, making them three and six over their past nine. Roger Clemens will start for AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this Monday and George Steinbrenner is talking openly about the fact that GM Brian Cashman’s job is on the line.

NBA - Draft Positions Decided

NHL - Detroit Humiliated and Eliminated

The Redwings are a star-laden team facing elimination as they go up against the Anaheim Ducks. Both goaltenders have been tough with Dominic Hasek posting a 1.67 GAA and a .928 SV%. Jean-Sebastien Giguere has also been stellar, with a 1.78 GAA and .935 SV%.

MLB- Milwaukee Brewers Off to a Surprising Start

Okay, not only are the Brewers ahead of everyone in the NL West, they have the second-best winning percentage in the NL and are 6.5 games ahead of second-place Houston and 9.5 games ahead of the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals. They are a great home team at 17- 7 and a mediocre road club at 11- 10. They don’t lead the league in any category but in pitching they are near the top in just about every important category. NBA- Detroit Wins Opener Vs. Cavs in East Final

Cleveland beat them on the boards—49 to 41 rebounds. They beat them on the offensive boards—18- 11. They beat them on steals—11 to 3. But Cleveland did not beat them on the scoreboard. In a tough defensive battle, it was the Pistons over the Cavaliers—79- 76 in the first game in the best-of-seven NBA Eastern Final series. (more…)

MLB- Torre says Steinbrenner Supports Him

Joe Torre may be headed into the series of his career and it isn’t even the All-Star break yet. The Boston Red Sox will be in the Bronx for a three game series starting tonight and with the Yankees unable to “buy� a win (literally and figuratively), you’ve got to figure that the axe may fall anytime on the renowned New York skipper.
