Willis at 44-years old is Signed by Mavs

After seeing center Erick Dampier injured his right shoulder against the New York Kicks on Friday, the Dallas Mavericks contacted 44-year old center Kevin Willis. Willis was cleared physically and signed to a 10-day contact today.

Miami’s Wade Testing the Water

With his left shoulder still healing from being dislocated, the Heats’ start guard Dwayne Wade to the court to scrimmage. Wade is trying to come back for the playoffs and has decided to eschew surgery for the time being. Wade, in his fourth season was injured in Houston on February 21. Prior to being hurt, he averaged 38.9 MPG, 28.8 PPG and 7.9 APG over 46 games. He was putting in the best offensive output of his career. The player hopes to return for a few games prior to the playoffs.

Ah Mr. Lewis What Do You Think Now?

The Florida Gators have done what very few NCAA basketball teams have ever been able to do—repeat as champs. State was simply out-battled by the Gators. It had to be a humbling experience for Ron Lewis and the Ohio State Buckeyes, who also lost in December to Florida. That time it was by 26 points. (more…)

Lewis Says Gators Are “Good”

Ohio State’s Ron Lewis described the Florida Gators as a “good� team in a pre-game press conference. When the Gators’ Joakim Noah was told this at another press conference, he was stunned. It was indicated that Lewis claimed that the Buckeyes were a “great� team.
