Baltimore Ravens Mock Draft Picks
Position Needs for Baltimore
Linebacker: This position would have been a need even if Adalius Thomas wouldn't have left (New England). Now the Ravens need to probably spend 2 picks on linebackers this draft as the depth is suspect.
Cornerback: Teams picked on Samari Rolle last season and was toasted regularly. David Pittman the teams third round selection in the 06 draft didn't make an impact as a rookie. Adding a young stud would instantly improve the Ravens nickel and dime packages.
Offensive Line: Both offensive guard and tackle need to be addressed soon if not in this draft. OG Edwin Mulitalo is 32 and only played 4 games last season before suffering a season ending injury. 06 draftee Chris Chester doesn't look big enough for the position. At tackle Jonathon Ogden can't play forever and has muttered the words "retirement." Right tackle Tony Pashos also has left via free agency (Jaguars).
Draft Outlook for the Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens' vice president Ozzie Newsome proves each and every year that he is one of the best evaluators of talent. With the exception of the Kyle Boller pick in 03, this team can draft.
After taking care of the pressing need at running back in the offseason, (dumping the ageing Jamal Lewis and grabbing the younger Willis McGahee, look for more good work from Newsome and his crew in 07. With the 29th pick, Texas cornerback Aaron Ross, Auburn guard Ben Grubbs, or Central Michigan's Joe Staley are all possible selections.
Don't take our criticism of the Ravens to heart Baltimore fans, this team is still very good and should be playoff bound again in 07.
