2004 BCS Rankings

Here are all the up to date 2004 BCS rankings for this years College Football Season. The BCS rankings are calculated by averaging the percentage totals of the AP Poll, the coaches poll, and the 6 computer polls. These BCS standings are quite easy to read if you know what everything stands for. The AP column is the College football teams rank in the associated press poll. The next column shows the teams rank in the ESPN/Coaches poll. The final ingredient in the 2004 BCS poll is the average of the 6 computer polls that the BCS standings use to grade teams. These 6 computer polls are the Anderson & Hester, Billingsley, Colley/Matrix, Massey, Sagarin, and the Wolfe rankings. The BCS computer rankings than combine those 3 main factors and you have the 2004 College Football BCS Standings.

I know most people hate the fact that College football uses the BCS standings instead of a playoff to determine who the national championship game is. We respectfully agree and wish the NCAA would eventually ditch this 2004 BCS poll and move to the playoff format. There are still a few years left on the BCS contract so I we will have to get use to the BCS standings for a couple more seasons.
